Kelvin Ebiri earned degree in English Studies from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. He has worked as a staff writer for The Guardian Newspaper since 2001, as well as freelance writer for the Associated Press and the London Telegraph.

Ebiri is a dedicated reporter with a nose for news and a passion for human cum environmental rights issues. He has reported extensively on the Niger Delta crisis and activities of rights groups such as Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People among others.
